Keep Froehlich's cories in a group of six or more, in 20 gal (75 L) or larger. Give them a sand floor, some stones and a steady current, with clean water like the headwater streams they come from.
Keep the water at 72 to 79°F (22 to 26°C) and a pH of 6.0 to 7.5. Their Paraguay basin home means they tolerate cooler nights better than Amazon species. Feed sinking granules and frozen foods, which they take readily.

Froehlich's cory inhabits clear headwater streams in the upper Rio Paraguai drainage, in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. It lives over sand and fine gravel in flowing, oxygen-rich water at the mild end of tropical.
