Overview

Keep six or more in 75 liters over sand; long-snouts dig enthusiastically and want depth to root in. It takes sinking prepared foods and frozen fare. Breeding has been achieved by dedicated cory keepers using cool, soft water changes, though it remains a project fish rather than a beginner spawner.

In the wild

Fuller's cory comes from the Madre de Dios drainage in southeastern Peru, working sandy runs and litter pockets of clear and lightly stained streams. Give it fine sand, wood, a leaf patch, and well-oxygenated water at 23 to 27 degrees Celsius with pH 5.8 to 7.2.

Described in 2021 by Tencatt and colleagues and named for the British catfish specialist Ian Fuller, this long-snouted species reaches about 6.5 centimeters and keeps the strict-sense Corydoras genus in the 2024 revision. It spent years in the hobby as CW051 before the formal name landed.
